Eligibility for Admission to Diploma in Engineering ( 3 Yrs )
  1. The candidates must have passed the HSC examination or 10th examination from Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or any board approved by BSE, Odisha.
  2. Must have secured minimum aggregate of 35% marks in 10th standard and 30% mark in each subjects.
  3. For first semester diploma courses in engineering except mining and drilling, the minimum age limit is 14 years.
  4. No upper age limit will be applicable for any course.
Eligibility for Admission to Third Semester (Lateral Entry) Diploma in Engineering/Technology:
  1. Minimum educational qualification prescribed for this course is 10+2 or its equivalent examination with PCM subjects from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.
  2. The candidates who have passed 10th with at least 35% marks from BSE, Odisha are also eligible to apply.
  3. Minimum age limit is 14 years, required for this course.
  4. No upper age limit prescribed for this course.

Step 1: Complete the Registration

Click on the link below and select ‘Diploma New Aspirant’ tab. You will be redirected to a new page. Visit ‘Online Admission 2020 for Diploma Course’ link and Sign Up as a new user. Direct link to apply is given below:

You will have to enter details like Name, mobile number, email ID for registration. An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number for validation. Now, you can use the login details to access the online portal. The registered mobile number can be used as the username and password can be self- generated.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

After login to the account, fill in the application form by adding details in the fields. It includes personal details, academic details, residential details, category details, financial status etc.

Step 3: Upload Images

You must also upload a scanned recent colour photograph of size 100KB and Full Signature of size 30KB.

Step 4: Application Fees

The payment of application fees can be done online using a credit card, debit card or net banking. The application fee for Odisha Polytechnic course for different category of the candidate is given below:

Documents Required for Odisha Polytechnic Admission

The candidates will have to carry the following documents to the respective counseling centre/ nodal centre on the specified dates -

Odisha Polytechnic Counseling Process

 

Candidates who apply for Polytechnic course will have to get their documents verified. The documents which are uploaded along with the applications are validated online. However, other applicants will have to report at the Nodal Centre for Counseling (NCC) for document verification.

A merit list is prepared after the applications and documents are verified for Polytechnic admission. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

After attending the counseling round, the candidate will be allotted one of the seats in the participating institutes in Odisha that offer the polytechnic courses.

The candidate will have to report at the respective institute and submit the required original documents on the day of reporting. The list of documents to be carried on the reporting day in the institute is as follows: -

  1. Final Seat Allotment Letter (to be downloaded from the official website)
  2. Fee deposit slips collected from the respective institution
  3. Attested recent passport size photographs
  4. Migration Certificate for candidates who have completed Class 10th from a board other than the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Various polytechnic courses are offered in participating Government and Private Institutes in the states of Odisha through merit-based counseling process. These institutes are approved by AICTE and the Government.

Some seats are reserved for students of Odisha. All notification related to Odisha Polytechnic Admission is released by authorities before the admission procedure starts for the current academic year.
